And here begins a post of opposites

The effect that porn has on our society is obviously in constant debate. The website on the myths of porno was very interesting. It's obvious one-sided presentation, did not do much for me.

Although the effect of porn is significant, that is not the only driving factor. An addiction is merely a weakness in someone's will, unless they decided that they no longer want to be involved with in their subject of addiction. To end a relationship saying "sorry I find porn more entertaining than you."  Is just an excuse for a further underlying problem in the relationship.

Although, the argument against "Women who becomes strippers and hookers choose those careers, so who are we to judge them?" brought up some good points, I think it misses the big picture. Yes there are problems with sex slaves, but the are few and far between compared. And as far as Christine's story, that she thought there was nothing else she could do, she proved herself wrong when she got a real job.

Ok.. this is where I step away from opposites and come back to reality.

I think many people say that they began prostituting because they were kicked out at a young age, and had no means to support themselves. Honestly I think that is a lazy excuse. There are many women's shelters throughout all cities. They provide a bed and an address. There are constantly places hiring, even for a person with little to no education. And in every town there is a McDonald's. Although many of these places might not be the nicest places to work, it's got to be better then laying on you back for meaningless sex everyday, and possibly a couple times a week.

If you are doing it, then you must not mind it that much, because otherwise you would find SOME way of getting around it!

*DISCLAIMER: This will be the first post of many that are way behind.. I'm not sure why, but NONE of my post were posting for a while.. and I just rewrote them ALL. Please excuse my tardiness and total lack of technology knowledge… Hopefully they will all work!
